Solar City Tower for Rio Olympics 2016 - Travis Caulfield
This is a proposed Solar City tower for the Olympics in Rio in 2016. It is a renewable energy generating tower located on the coast of Rio and is one of the first buildings we’ve seen designed for the 2016 Rio Olympics. It is also designed as a waterfall! The Solar City Tower is designed by Zurich-based RAFAA Architecture & Design. It features a large solar system to generate power during the day and a pumped water storage system to generate power at night. RAFAA's goal is that a symbolic tower such as this can serve as a starting point for a global green movement and help make the 2016 Olympic Games more sustainable. Travis Caulfield

SEGAI Research Centre - Travis Caulfield
The SEGAI Research Support Services Building building at the University of La Laguna, Spain is intended to act as a centralized location for the support laboratories used in connection with a number of research programs, thereby allowing for the use of specialized scientific and technical equipment.
The building is on the edge of the University campus and is next to a number of tended fields. It was designed not only as a public building, but also to define a landscape intervention strategy for integrating it into the structure of the immediately surrounding farmland. - Travis Caulfield

Travis Caulfield - Skyscraper for Bees!
The high-rise, named Elevator B, is an urban habitat for a colony of honeybees, designed by architecture students from the University at Buffalo. The tower is a winning entry of the university’s Hive City competition, which asked students to design a habitat for the bees. This unique skyscraper has generated great public curiosity, due to its residents and bold design. It is located in Silo City – a group of abandoned grain elevators and silos on the river. The project acts as a symbol of the site’s economic and environmental regeneration. To read more about this interesting project check out evolo. Travis Caulfield
